Knorr-Bremse again named “Top Employer for Engineers in Germany”

Knorr-Bremse has been named “Top Employer for Engineers in Germany 2015”. This is the second consecutive year in which the Top Employers Institute has honored the company’s strong appeal to engineers with this accolade.

Knorr-Bremse acquires train control management specialist Selectron Systems AG

Knorr-Bremse has signed an agreement governing the acquisition of Selectron Systems AG of Lyss, Switzerland, on December 19, 2014. Through this acquisition, Knorr-Bremse is expanding its portfolio to include components and solutions for the automation of rail vehicles. Completion of the takeover remains subject to approval by the anti-trust authorities.

Knorr-Bremse boosts its high-speed business in China

Knorr-Bremse is to equip an additional 100 Chinese high-speed trains with bogie equipment. The signing ceremony for the agreement between Knorr-Bremse and vehicle manufacturer CSR Sifang was staged at InnoTrans 2014.

Freight railcar leasing specialist AAE and Knorr-Bremse agree on service partnership

To ensure secure supplies of replacement parts and bring about a further reduction in maintenance downtimes, AAE AG, Europe’s leading specialist leasing company for standard freight railcars, is banking on the comprehensive expertise of Knorr-Bremse. Applying a pioneering concept, RailServices (the specialist service provider for the rail sector within the Knorr-Bremse Group) is to optimize supplies of remanu-factured valves to AAE.
