Changes in the Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse AG

Dr. Dieter Wilhelm (62), Executive Board member responsible for the Rail Vehicle Systems division of Knorr-Bremse AG, is to leave the Board on June 30, 2016 on the very best of terms, having reached retirement age. Until further notice his duties will be assumed by Klaus Deller (53) in addition to his role as Chairman of the Executive Board.

  • Klaus Deller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Knorr-Bremse AG, will additionally take charge of the Rail Vehicle Systems division of Knorr-Bremse until further notice.

Dr. Wilhelm has been a member of the Executive Board since July 1, 2003 and is responsible for the global activities of the Rail Vehicle Systems division of Knorr-Bremse. Under his aegis, the division has repeatedly posted substantial growth. “Dr. Wilhelm has played a decisive part in the development and growth of the Rail Vehicle Systems division, particularly in Asia. We wish to thank him for his more than 17 years of successful activities on behalf of our company, including 13 years as a member of the Executive Board, and also for his readiness to take retirement one year later than originally planned. We also wish to thank Mr. Deller, who will now take interim charge of this division,” said Heinz Hermann Thiele, proprietor and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Knorr-Bremse AG. Dr. Wilhelm will retain his links with Knorr-Bremse and will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.
